Professor McCeur, UNESCO's Program Director for International Geosciences and Geospatial Affairs, said: Today, there are 17 countries from all over the world on Qeshm Island to take advantage of the valuable experiences of the Global Geopark of Qeshm in the sustainable development of local communities and the conservation of geological heritage.

The deputy of the country's environmental organization and non-executive member of the Qeshm Free Area Organization, considered the global Qeshm geopark registration as a national honor, and expressed hope that this geopark would be used not only in the country but also in the Middle East and Asia as a successful model.
Deputy Minister of Co-operation, Labor and Social Welfare in Cooperatives, said: Qeshm is an international island and in the right direction of the functioning of a free Area is progressing, and the goal of the cooperative is to achieve the development of the people's economy, and Qeshm, as a co-operative island, has achieved this goal.
Advisor of the president and secretary of the Supreme Council of the Free Areas of the country, during the ceremony, attended by the CEO of Qeshm Free Area Organization, opened five Eco-Tourism houses in the villages of the island.
The head of state opened 36 Qeshm free Area projects through video conferencing in Bandar Abbas, expressing satisfaction with the actions taken in Qeshm Free Area.
